Former Harrison Co. teacher pleads not guilty to sex abuse William Hyatt, a former Harrison County teacher, waived his formal arraignment and entered a not guilty plea to sexual abuse and sodomy charges in Harrison County on Tuesday morning. The 57-year old was indicted on the same charges by a Fayette County grand jury in February. According to court documents, Hyatt is accused of abusing a child four times between 1979 and 1981 in both Fayette and Harrison counties. Former Jones Elementary School counselor indicted 6 Feb 2015 A retired teacher and guidance counselor with ties to Mason, Bracken and Harrison County School districts has been indicted on sex abuse charges by a Harrison County grand jury. According to the indictment, William Hyatt, is facing four counts of first-degree sexual abuse, of a male under the age of 12, in the time period of 1979 to 1981. Today (02/25/2015), Fayette County Grand Jury handed down indictments against William "Billy" Hyatt, age 57, of Cynthiana, KY. Hyatt is charged with two counts of Sodomy 1st (Victim Less Than 12 Years of Age) and one charge of Sexual Abuse 1st (Victim Less Than 12 Years of Age). William "Billy" Hyatt, 57, was arrested by the Harrison County Sheriff's Department on Wednesday after a state police investigation.
