    Schools combat vexing trend of more improper student-teacher relationships

    Amid a social media-driven trend of an increasing number of improper student-teacher relationships, a Longview superintendent says establishing and reinforcing clear boundaries in classrooms is vital. Doug Phillips, director of educator investigations for the Texas Education Agency, said there has been a more than 50 percent increase in the number of investigations into inappropriate student-teacher relationships in Texas in the past seven years.
