Elliott, 38, a teacher at Hopewell Elementary School, was suspended after her arrest in July, according to reports. Cleveland Police officer Julius Porter arrested Elliott after her boyfriend, Gregory A. Grammer, 41, claimed she had attacked him while he was sleeping. According to Bradley County Jail information, Grammer was arrested Tuesday for filing a false report. Grammer reportedly went to Elliott’s home on Cumberland Trace where he had been painting a room at the home. The couple began drinking, according to Porter’s report, and Grammer apparently passed out, but was awakened when Elliott was alleged to have assaulted him with ...

A suspended Hopewell Elementary School teacher was dismissed Thursday night in a 4-1 vote by the Bradley County Board of Education pending her request within 30 days for a due process hearing. Board members approved the dismissal of fourth-grade instructor Susan Calfree Elliott on the recommendation of Johnny McDaniel, Bradley County Schools director, who alleged job-performance issues in his report. Elliott’s original suspension without pay came in July after her arrest for alleged aggravated domestic assault. The charge was later dropped when reported victim Gregory Grammer recanted his story.
