Cleveland Police officer Julius Porter arrested Elliott after her boyfriend, Gregory A. Grammer, 41, claimed she had attacked him while he was sleeping. According to Bradley County Jail information, Grammer was arrested Tuesday for filing a false report. Grammer reportedly went to Elliott’s home on Cumberland Trace where he had been painting a room at the home. Board members approved the dismissal of fourth-grade instructor Susan Calfree Elliott on the recommendation of Johnny McDaniel, Bradley County Schools director, who alleged job-performance issues in his report. Bradley County ordered to rehire teacher A judge reversed the Bradley County school board's decision to dismiss a teacher and ordered the district to rehire her and pay the woman retroactive to her 2012 dismissal date. In an order filed Tuesday, Hamilton County Chancellor W. Frank Brown III said the school board manufactured reasons to dismiss Susan Elliott after she was arrested on a charge of aggravated assault. Even though the charge was dropped, Brown said, the school board was embarrassed by news coverage of Elliott's arrest, so members turned a small problem into a big issue.
