Capitola-Soquel Patch: Capitola Teacher Arrested for Sexually Molesting Student (May 13 2013) Gilroy Police arrested Robert William Lincoln, 50, of Capitola on Tuesday morning on a bevy of sexual molestation charges after a week-long investigation, Sgt. Pedro Espinoza announced in a press release. Lincoln was a math teacher at Rancho San Justo Middle School in Hollister when he met the victim in 2009. He then befriended the victim's family and initiated a sexual relationship with her in 2011, when she was 15. According to Espinoza, the sexual incidents occurred in Hollister and Gilroy, where the victim lives. It is not believed that sexual misconduct ever occurred on school grounds. Contra Costa Times: Gilroy: Former Hollister teacher accused of having long-term sexual relationship with teen (May 13 2013) Police said Lincoln was laid off that year as part of district budget cuts, and he initiated sexual contact with the girl the following summer. "He became a close family friend," said Gilroy police Sgt. Pedro Espinoza. "They let him in their house." Espinoza said Lincoln was entrusted by the girl's family to keep company with her, but the mother recently became suspicious when "she noticed changes in the girl's behavior." He said her daughter confirmed the suspicions when she was confronted. Espinoza said they know of at least three separate incidents although he believes there were many more, and the trysts didn't end until the mother reported Lincoln last Monday. The contacts happened at the girl's home in Hollister and continued when she moved to Gilroy, Espinoza said. He said it was a case of the victim believing herself to be the man's girlfriend. KTVU: Former math teacher arrested on suspicion of sexual molestation of a minor (May 13 2013) Police detectives in Gilroy on May 6 began an investigation into a series of alleged sexual molestations of a girl from Gilroy who is now 17. Detectives learned that [Robert William] Lincoln met the victim at the Rancho San Justo Middle School in Hollister when he was her math teacher in 2009. Lincoln eventually befriended the girl and her family, police said. In 2011, police said that Lincoln started an inappropriate sexual relationship with the girl in Gilroy and Hollister when she was 15 although there is no evidence any of the alleged incidents happened at school.
KION: Former Hollister Math Teacher Arrested in Capitola on Charges That He Molested a Student (May 13 2013) Robert Lincoln was a teacher at Rancho San Justo Middle School in Hollister during 2009 to 2011. He may currently be a substitute for the school district, said police. They believe that he met the victim while he was her math teacher in 2011. She was 15 at the time. According to police, Lincoln became a friend of the family after he was let go from the school district. The alleged incidents happened in both Hollister and Gilroy, but police do not think that anything happened on school campus.
