Police say ChildLine call led to Parks Township man being charged with rape of 6-year-old girl

Police said the investigation began with a state ChildLine call placed by the girl’s teacher after the child told her what happened and said it hurt for her to walk and sit, according to his arrest papers.​

A Parks Township man faces multiple felony sex charges, including the rape of a child, after, police say, he got drunk, crawled into a 6-year-old girl’s bed and sexually assaulted her. In addition to the child rape charge, Nathan Raymond Bortz, 34, of Jackson Street, faces a count of unlawful contact with a minor and three counts of aggravated indecent assault of a child, all felonies, according to court records. He also faces charges of corruption of a minor, endangering the welfare of children and indecent exposure. Bortz is being detained in the Armstrong County Jail after failing to post ...
