    Pro-charter group says DOE protects identities of abusive teachers

    Complaining that the city Department of Education is shielding the identity of abusive teachers, a pro-charter advocacy group launched a new Web site (safeschoolsnow.nyc) Friday where parents and school whistleblowers can expose wrongdoers. The group, Families for Excellent Schools, also released the names of 19 educators previously arrested or accused of child abuse, many previously reported by The Post and other media.
