    A man convicted of killing a Seattle teacher nearly three decades ago pleaded guilty to manslaughter last week for killing his Spokane Valley girlfriend. Darrell Cloud, 51, will likely face between 102 and 136 months in prison for the crime, with 36 months of community custody. Cloud was arrested in 2017 after the death of his girlfriend, Candy Fealy. Fealy was beaten by Cloud, causing bleeding on her brain and facial fractures, in April 2012. She was then in a coma for a month before awakening, unable to to speak. She died on July 29, 2016.     A man accused of killing his girlfriend in Spokane Valley entered into a plea agreement in the case mon April 8. Darrell Cloud was charged with first degree murder in connection to the 2016 death of Candy Fealy. Cloud entered an Alford plea to first degree manslaughter as part of a plea agreement. According to court documents, the prosecuting attorney recommended he serve eight and a half years in prison followed by 36 months of community custody.     It was a bizarre case in 1994 for sure. The strange thing is Darrell Cloud continued to ball his former teacher Neal Summers for TEN YEARS! This was well into his 20's, even when he was briefly married. When does abuse become consensual sex? A second after a person turns 18? Cloud was a star athlete with a very dominant personality and a "volatile temper" in his teens. I don't think he was pushed around by Summers. I think Cloud probably enjoyed having power over a submissive man who really wanted him and kept going back for more. It's an aphrodisiac and he got hooked. I've dealt with personalities like that in the past. When his life started falling apart from bad decisions it was time for the blame game.
