He’s charged with criminal sexual assault against the girl. Authorities tell us he and the teenage girl not only confessed the relationship to them, but that it had been going on for years. District 150 officials were the ones who notified police about the possibly inappropriate relationship. School officials say a teacher at Peoria Central High School turned them in, sparking an investigation Monday afternoon. District 150 band teacher arrested Police say Roosevelt Magnet band teacher Maury Beelman was arrested for criminal sexual assault following an investigation. The matter was brought to the attention of District 150 officials after the student disclosed the relationship to another teacher at Peoria High School. Administration then notified Peoria Police.
