Prosecutor: No prosecution in Louisiana man’s 2018 custody death

No criminal charges will be filed against any of four sheriff’s deputies in connection with the 2018 asphyxiation and beating death of a Black man during an arrest in 2018, a suburban New Orleans prosecutor said Tuesday. Jefferson Parish District Attorney Paul Connick released a 27-page report on his office’s investigation into the death of Keeven Robinson, 22, who died as police tried to take him into custody on drug charges.
