UPDATE-3: Oshkosh School Employee Accused of Sexually Assaulting Student Oshkosh police arrested a 26-year-old woman [Lindsey J. Quednow] employed at Merrill Middle School, accused with repeat sexual assault of the same 14-year-old student ... Police aren't saying where they think the assaults took place. According to the superintendent, Merrill staff approached the principal with concerns about "concerning behavior" between the student and employee. Human Resources interviewed the employee, and the school district turned to police for further investigation. Police interviewed the employee and the student, and the case was closed within a day-and-a-half of those staff members coming forward. Merrill teacher's aide charged with sexual assault Lindsey J. Quednow, 26, admitted to police that she had sexual intercourse with the boy eight times in August, according to a criminal complaint. ... According to the criminal complaint, Quednow told Oshkosh Police Department detectives that she knew the boy from school and from a restaurant, where they both worked part-time. Quednow said she first met the boy when he was in sixth grade and they became friends when he was in seventh grade ... Quednow told authorities the sexual relationship began at her residence after a lunch date on July 19 or July 27. She also brought the boy back to her residence on Aug. 10 and Aug. 17 after they finished working at the restaurant. They engaged in sexual intercourse both times, according to the complaint. Quednow also admitted to sending the boy 20 nude photographs of herself over the course of the relationship. She said the boy also sent her nude photos of himself. The boy told police that he met Quednow after he befriended a special needs student at Merrill Middle School when he was in seventh grade. He said they text messaged each other when he was in eighth grade and she eventually helped him get a job at the restaurant. The boy admitted to having sexual intercourse with Quednow. He said she told him she loved him, but he started "getting annoyed" because she was text messaging him constantly. The boy said he told Quednow he began liking someone his own age and he wanted the relationship to stop "so he could be a normal high school student," the complaint states. The boy said Quednow got upset and he stopped text messaging her. He said he had not heard from Quednow until she told him she was under investigation and he needed to make up a reason why he had been over to her house. Charges filed against ex-Oshkosh school aide in sex case Online court records indicate 26-year-old Lindsey Quednow is facing one count of repeated sexual assault of same child, 3 counts of child enticement, and child sexual exploitation. The school district called police after teachers at a different school brought concerns to the district about how Quednow, a teacher's aide at Merrill Middle School, was treating a male student. About 36 hours after the concerns were brought forward, the district fired Quednow.
