The Columbian: Ex-King’s Way coach pleads not guilty to sex with student (March 28 2012) A former assistant basketball coach at King’s Way Christian School pleaded not guilty Wednesday to having a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old female student. Kyley J. Allworth, 29, was arraigned on two counts of first-degree sexual misconduct relating to incidents in February and March.Allworth was supposed to retain an attorney prior to her arraignment, but she told the judge she didn’t have enough money to hire a lawyer because she is no longer working. She resigned her position as an assistant librarian and coach four days prior to her March 13 arrest. She remains in jail. “My husband and I are separated and I have no spousal support whatsoever,” Allworth said. Judge Daniel Stahnke appointed attorney Diane Sweet to represent Allworth.

KGW: Clark Co. coach gets 20 mos. for sex abuse (June 8 2012) A Clark County high school coach and aide was given the maximum sentence Friday for sexually abusing a student. Kyley Allworth, 29, pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 20 months in jail after the victim and Kings Way Christian School appealed to Clark County Judge Diane Woolard to give Allworth the longest sentence possible. A detective's affidavit alleged that Allworth started making sexual advances toward the 17-year-old victim in February, which included sexual contact. Several of the incidents took place at the school and on church property.
