A press release issued Wednesday by the Washington County Sheriff's Department states deputies responded to Daniel Boone High School on April 29, shortly after Paddock finished an interim teaching job at the school. Substitute Washington County teacher charged with statutory rape According to Washington County Director of Schools Ron Dykes, the school district received a third-hand tip in April that Paddock may have had an inappropriate relationship, conducted a brief investigation and turned the information over to the sheriff’s department and the Department of Children’s Services as soon as they built enough of a case to make the allegation plausible. Dykes said she was employed by the district three separate times on an interim basis, once from March to May in 2012 at West View Elementary, once from February to March of 2013 at David Crockett High School and once from August to March during the 2013-14 school year at Daniel Boone High School.
