Following a disciplinary hearing in Toronto where neither John Roy Maycock nor his lawyer were present, the Ontario College of Teachers found him guilty of professional misconduct and ordered his teacher's certificate be revoked ... Maycock, then 55, pleaded guilty in August 2011 and was sentenced to nine months in jail and two years' probation.​
