    A man found killed alongside his wife had just been fired from his teaching job Tuesday.
    The son of Clyde and Ida Valentine found his parents' bodies at their west Charlotte home Thursday. Neighbors said they heard gunshots earlier in the day. Clyde Valentine was a teacher at Philip O. Berry Academy, but was suspended in June after he was arrested on charges of indecent liberties with a minor.

    A former Charlotte-Mecklenburg school teacher was fired from the school district two days before police say his son found him, and his wife, fatally shot inside their northwest Charlotte home. The incident was reported around 3:51 p.m. Thursday along the 6400 block of Swift Arrow Lane, in the Pawtuckett Forest community. A man called 911 and told officers that he found his parents deceased inside their home. Police say Clyde and Ida Valentine, both 59, were found dead in their home. WBTV learned Clyde Valentine was suspended from Philip O. Berry Academy. He was arrested in June, accused of indecent liberties with a child, and arrested again in September for statutory rape.
