Clergy sex abuse crisis: Key names, dates, scandals as New Orleans list nears release

Many court cases, key moments and scandals have preceded the Archdiocese of New Orleans' decision to soon release a groundbreaking list of clergy members that have been credibly accused of sexual abuse. Archbishop Gregory Aymond announced recently the list would be released "in a matter of days," but no date has yet been specified. The Advocate reported on Tuesday a list of 16 priests and deacons who either admitted to the sex abuse allegations made against them, left the ministry on their own after being accused, or were removed from ministry.
