WTKR: Woodside High School teacher arrested after sexting a student (Apr 26 2013) On Tuesday, the parents of a 17-year-old male student contacted the Newport News Police and said they had found photos of a nude female on the student’s cell phone. The woman in the photos was identified as Cara Alexander, a Newport News English teacher at Woodside High School. The parents further advised police that their son had been involved in an inappropriate relationship with Alexander.The Special Victims Unit began an investigation into the allegations. As a result of the investigation, warrants were obtained to charge Alexander with six counts each of using a communications system to facilitate certain offenses involving children, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor and one count of taking indecent liberties with a minor. Alexander was arrested Friday afternoon around 4:30 p.m. in York County.
