    Bill toughens penalties in teacher-sex cases

    Florida now has stricter penalties for teachers having sexual relationships with students under 18-years-old. The bill was put together last April by a group of Armwood High School students and their teacher. They even traveled to the capital to lobby for it three different times. That law is now in effect as of Oct. 1. It is called the "The Stop Harassing Underage Teens Act." "People are going to see the right punishment for what they are doing," said now 18-year-old Elyse Chinowth.
