Former Teacher Sentence to Three Years for Attempting to Exchange Cash for Sex with Students

A former teacher at John F. Kennedy High School has been sentenced to three years in New Jersey State Prison and lifetime parole supervision for his efforts to coerce students to engage in sexual acts in exchange for money. According to a statement by Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, the sentence against Thomas Weir, 56, was handed down by the Hon. Marilyn C. Clark, P.J.Cr. following the his August 1 guilty pleas to one count of Attempted Endangering the Welfare of a Child; one count of Endangering the Welfare of a Child and one count of Engaging in Prostitution. ...
