    A lawyer representing rape suspect John Azabache suggested it might be no coincidence that a 16-year-old Ossining High School student reported the crime just before his planned wedding. “The timing of the allegations is certainly intriguing,” lawyer Tony Castro said, as he and his client arrived Tuesday for an appearance in Town Court. “The timing speaks for itself. The wedding was scheduled for a Friday and these allegations were brought the day before.”

    Former Teacher Registered As Sex Offender Reports Move In Port Chester

    A former Ossining teacher now registered as a sex offender after being convicted of raping a teenager has reported a move in Westchester County. The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert this week to residents in Westchester regarding the residency of 37-year-old John Azabache, who has moved to a residence on South Regent Street in Port Chester. The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned Azabache as a level two threat, which means he is at "moderate risk of a repeat offense."
