    Utah teachers, students who defy mask mandate could be charged with misdemeanor

    Students and teachers in Utah could face a misdemeanor if they defy the mask mandate, which was introduced in July, according to a news release from the office of Gov. Gary R. Herbert. The penalty was confirmed by Herbert’s office on Aug. 19 by The Salt Lake Tribune.
