Toomey pitching school predator bill U.S. Sen. Pat Toomey visited the Luzerne County Child Advocacy Center on Friday, touting a bipartisan bill to keep sexual predators out of schools. Toomey’s bill requires schools to perform more-extensive background checks on all new and existing employees and bans school officials from allowing employees suspected of sex crimes to quietly resign and find jobs elsewhere.
