    Teacher MariBeth Thomas thought she did the right thing — legally and morally — when she told police a teenage student confided to her that another educator made sexual advances and touched her leg. But her boss, Prosper High School principal Greg Wright, blasted her for reporting the incident to the city police instead of only quietly telling the school system’s own police chief, according to a recording of a meeting provided to The Dallas Morning News this week.     Prosper teacher ‘just wanted to do the right thing’ in reporting girl’s complaints to police

    A high school teacher who was castigated by school administrators after she told police that a fellow educator had made advances to a student said Friday that she made her complaints because she “just wanted to do the right thing.” But in her first public comments about the episode, MariBeth Thomas said that instead of praise and gratitude, Prosper High School principal Greg Wright painted her as the villain when all she did was follow the law.
