Teacher-student sex cases occur too frequently On Monday, April 27, Ashville High School’s 47-year-old basketball coach Anthony Rice was charged with having sex with a student. On Thursday, April 30, 32-year-old Williams Intermediate School teacher Ashli Gilley turned herself in after being charged with sexual misconduct with a Pell City High School student. Both St. Clair County-area teachers are now out of a job and part of a troubling statistic.
