    State considers erasing unproven charges from teacher files

    A bill working its way through the General Assembly will require school districts to remove any reference to a Department of Children and Families investigation from a teacher’s file when allegations are found to be unsubstantiated. Supporters say the proposed law will mitigate the negative mark of a false accusation. “There are people in the teaching profession who have been accused of things they have not done,” said State Sen.
