    Former DeKalb County school janitor arrested on child molestatio - WMC Action News 5 - Memphis, Tennessee

    Police say in July, [Rodney] Winston allegedly touched 11 and 13-year-old girls. One girl said he touched her on the backside and another girl said he tried to put his hand down the front of her pants. Police said the victims said Winston tried to pay them before he touched them. When the girl told her parents, they called the school, who then called police.

    Winston had three reported incidents while working for the school district. In 2011, he reportedly threw candy at a student. The following year, he was accused of stealing money from a teacher's purse. In 2013, Winston was accused of using inappropriate language with students and was ordered to avoid all contact with a female students and work where students were not present.

    Former DeKalb County school janitor Rodney Winston arrested on child molestation charges

    Police say the incidents happened at Lithonia Middle School on two separate occasions in July. Officials said they did not receive the complaints from the victims until October. After an investigation, they arrested Rodney Winston on Tuesday. The school district says he resigned in lieu of being fired in October after the investigation began.
