Three Gold Coast teachers suspended in two years as criminal proceedings continue

MALE teacher who allegedly embraced a student, squeezing her on the buttocks, is one of three Gold Coast teachers to have their registration suspended in the past two years. Criminal proceedings are still under way in all cases. The teacher allegedly also sent the student inappropriate text messages and emails and was last year charged with indecent treatment of a child under 16. Another suspended teacher, who allegedly raped a female colleague after threatening to reveal she’d had an abortion, will appear again in court on June 17 charged with three counts of rape.
