    First Amendment experts decry Plum authorities' warning to students

    Students who talk, text, email, tweet, or post comments on Facebook about the ongoing sexual abuse investigation at Plum High School could be subject to questioning and arrest by law enforcement, school officials and local police told them Friday. Students considered the message a threat. First Amendment experts called it unconstitutional, and the Allegheny District Attorney's Office questioned the Plum police chief's rationale. “You're drawing attention to yourself, and you're asking for officers from the police department or the district attorney's office to show up at your door,” Chief Jeffrey Armstrong told students during one of two morning assemblies.     Officials Warn Students About Posting About Plum Incidents On Social Media

    Some parents and students are upset about a message delivered to the student body about recent sex allegations involving teachers and students. Some claim the message was a threat — and it all had to do with the ongoing investigation into alleged inappropriate relationships between a couple of teachers and students.
