Oregon’s teacher licensing agency, poised for a shake-up, gets a key Kotek adviser as its new leader Gov. Tina Kotek is dispatching a key education policy lieutenant to take the reins at the state agency that oversees educator licensing and teacher preparation programs. It’s the latest sign of a pending shake-up at the Teacher Standards and Practices Commission, the small state agency that has an outsized influence over the state’s teachers.
