    State lawmakers pass bill to allow teachers, support staff to carry guns with district's approval

    State lawmakers are considering a bill that would allow teachers and school staff to carry guns in school. The proposed legislation is similar to something that has been in place at private schools for some time. The bill would let local school districts decide whether they want teachers and staff to carry, and they could set training requirements. “This is a bill about safety of kids, that’s what this bill is absolutely about,” said Rep.
