    • second would make sure hiring standards and history are taken into account when a district's accreditation is reviewed every year

    State Superintendent Ryan Walters proposed two new rules to track teachers accused of abuse during an emergency board meeting Thursday. The meeting took place after new allegations against a Western Heights teacher came to light, which allege the teacher was caught chatting online with someone he thought was a 15-year-old boy. The teacher hasn't been charged with any crime, but Walters said he wanted his department to be involved in any and all similar investigations.
