    New York teacher begins 10-day sentence for role in ICE protest

    A teacher from New York will spend the next ten days behind bars in Dartmouth for her role in a protest against the Bristol County Sheriff's Department in 2018. Tuesday morning, 38-year-old Holly Stein began her ten day sentence at the Bristol County House of Corrections. Stein’s sentence stemmed from a protest at the jail in August 2018. A group of supporters gathered outside New Bedford District court Tuesday morning to let Stein know that she is not alone.
