    Rahway athletic director gets $150K to settle suit against city over arrest

    Rahway High School Athletic Director Thomas Lewis will receive $150,000 to settle his federal lawsuit against the city and police for his 2014 arrest during a basketball tournament at the high school. Lewis, who is also a member of the Clark school board, signed an agreement last month to resolve the lawsuit, according to documents that NJ Advance Media obtained through an Open Public Records Act request. Under the agreement reached with the city's insurance carrier, Lewis will drop all claims against the city and eight members of the police department, including Chief John Rodger.
