Bill would make it illegal for teachers to have sex with students despite their age Assemblyman Reed Gusciora announced Friday that he would introduce legislation that would allow New Jersey teachers to be criminally charged for engaging in a sexual act with a student regardless of age. Gusciora (D-Mercer/Hunterdon) said his decision was in response to recent media reports of Hamilton high school teachers who were investigated, but not charged, because the students were 18 years old.
