Ex-student sues Lansing schools over alleged sexual assault A new federal civil rights lawsuit brought by a former Eastern High School student against the Lansing School District is the second such lawsuit in as many weeks. At issue is how the district responded to the alleged sexual assault of a then-14-year-old student inside a stairwell at Eastern by a fellow student in October of last year. The State Journal does not name alleged victims of sexual assault.
