Meridian Police Department consent decree in 'school-to-prison pipeline' nearly complete, auditor says The City of Meridian and the Meridian Police Department are getting close to resolving a Department of Justice consent decree on the "school-to-prison pipeline," according to an independent auditor overseeing the agreement. Rodney Monroe, a retired police chief with over 40 years of experience, has acted as a liaison between the MPD and the DOJ throughout the consent decree, part of a settlement that began in September of 2015.
