    [Matthew T.] DiDonna, 42, of 12 Wayside Drive, Hurley, was arrested Sunday at 3:55 a.m. by state police at Ulster and charged with two felonies: possession and sale of a controlled substance as well as violation possession of marijuana. Police said the arrest followed an investigation determining that DiDonna sold drugs at his residence the prior evening. Executing a search warrant, police said they found DiDonna to be in possession of a quantity of psilocybin mushrooms and marijuana.

    Matthew DiDonna, 42, of Hurley wass committed to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $20,000 cash bail or $100,000 bond after his arrest on drug charges. State Police executed a search warrant on Sunday at his home at 12 Wayside Drive in Hurley after they investigated information that he had engaged in a drug sale there the night before. Police found him in possession of a quantity of psychedelic mushrooms and marijuana.

    State police say 38-year-old Mark Conlin of Hurley in Ulster County died late Saturday night after emergency crews responded to a 911 call reporting an unresponsive male. Officials say they're awaiting toxicology and autopsy results to determine how he died. Police say 42-year-old Matthew DiDonna of Hurley was arrested early Sunday on drug charges. Authorities tell the Daily Freeman of Kingston that they are looking into whether there was a connection between Conlin's death and drug sales allegedly made by DiDonna the previous evening.

    State police are awaiting toxicology results to determine if the death of a 38-year-old Hurley man Saturday night is connected to any drug sale that may have been made by Kingston High School teacher Matthew T. DiDonna. Maj. Edward Raso, commander of state police Troop F, said police responded to a 911 call at 11:19 p.m. Saturday for an “unresponsive” male. Mark Conlin of 78 DeWitt Mills Road died that night, Raso said. “There (were) life-saving efforts ongoing. I don’t know where he was pronounced (dead). He died subsequent to that (life-saving efforts),” Raso said.

    The death of a 38-year-old Hurley man late Saturday was what led state police to arrest Kingston High School teacher Matthew T. DiDonna early the next morning on felony drug charges, Ulster County District Attorney Holley Carnright said on Tuesday. Carnright said Mark Conlin died in his wife Julie’s arms during or after a party in their home on DeWitt Mills Road in Hurley.
