The Lake County sheriff's Cyber Crimes Unit arrested 50-year-old Mark Allen Griffin of Leesburg after discovering that child pornography was being downloaded and distributed over the internet from an I.P. address belonging to Griffin. Detectives met with Griffin at his home where they say he confessed to downloading, viewing, and possessing the child pornography while using his home computer and identified the computers in his home that contain additional images of child pornography.

A Treadway Elementary School caregiver in the school's Extended Learning Center program was arrested on charges of possessing child pornography, according to the Lake County Sheriff's Office. Mark Allen Griffin, who also worked as a teacher's assistant in 2010, was arrested on Tuesday at his home in Leesburg, following an investigation in which detectives discovered that child pornography was being downloaded and distributed over the Internet, deputies said.
