    Man Arrested in 1973 Murder of 11-Year-Old Girl Whose Disappearance Was Featured in a Police Twitter Campaign

    A man has been arrested in a 1973 murder of an 11-year-old in Newport Beach girl whose mysterious disappearance was featured by police in a Twitter campaign. Orange County prosecutors and Newport Beach police declined to divulge details prior to a news conference Wednesday morning. According to sources and news reports out of Colorado Springs, Colorado the suspect is accused of killing 11-year-old Linda Ann O'Keefe, who lived in Corona del Mar. She was last seen alive on her way home from summer school on July 6, 1973. Her body was recovered the following morning in the Back Bay area. ...
