    Middle school teacher accused of drunken driving, causing crash in Clearwater

    Lisa Micalizzi, 35, was booked into the Pinellas County Jail on Monday evening on a charge of misdemeanor DUI involving property damage. Clearwater police officers said they stopped Micalizzi about 5:30 p.m. Monday at N Fort Harrison Avenue and Fairmont Street because she was at fault in a five-vehicle crash, according to an arrest affidavit. She refused to take a test that would assess her blood-alcohol level, the report says. An officer noted, however, that Micalizzi had poor balance, bloodshot and watery eyes and smelled of alcohol.

    Largo teacher arrested for DUI in Labor Day crash

    Lisa Micalizzi, 35, was arrested by Clearwater Police after responding to the scene of the crash at Fairmont Street and North Fort Harrison Avenue around 6 p.m. Police say there was a smell of alcohol coming from Micalizzi, her speech was slurred, and she was unsteady on her feet. She failed various field sobriety tests, police say. She refused a breath sample and was subsequently arrested for DUI.
