Residents in a quiet Yukon neighborhood are shocked to learn one of their neighbors is accused of raping and sexually abusing a teenager. Lisa Kays, 47, was arrested on three complaints of rape and two complaints of forcible oral sodomy. The allegations surrounding the Putnam City High School teacher first surfaced last week through an e-mail hotline used to report crimes and safety concerns.

On Feb. 9, the student met with administrators and denied ever having a sexual relationship with [Lisa] Kays. The student told administrators that there was some "kidding around and that he was very close to her," according to a police report. The teacher was removed from the school campus on Feb. 9.On Feb. 10, school administrators interviewed several students who claimed there was an inappropriate relationship, according to a police report. Administrators interviewed the student for a second time, and he allegedly admitted to not telling the "whole truth." The student alleged that he and his teacher were involved on five occasions, in which they had some type of sexual encounter, police said.Investigators said three of the encounters took place in the teacher’s classroom, while the other two took place in the teacher’s car.
