Justin Coleman, 36, made the videos showing him sexually abusing two underage girls as part of a secret life that included clandestinely filming students and electronically transferring the faces of former students onto child pornography, federal law enforcement officials said. He was sentenced to 30 years on each of two counts of producing child pornography. The sentences will run concurrently ... Assistant U.S. Attorney Jerry Smagala said Coleman had engaged in child pornography while he taught at a U.S. military school in Japan. He also had filmed underage girls at a school during a trip to Italy, Smagala said.

Federal Judge Gerald Bruce Lee told 36-year-old Justin Coleman that he deserved an Academy Award for a convincing performance leading a double life. In public, he was an upstanding and well-respected fourth-grade teacher at John Adams Elementary School. But in private, he manipulated thousands of photographs of West End students by superimposing their faces over scenes of child rape and molestation ... Although Coleman was sentenced for charges of producing child pornography with two Fairfax County girls, prosecutors say agents found more than 2,000 images of students at John Adams. More than 70 of the images were manipulated with a photo-imaging software known as Photoshop so that they appeared to be engaged in scenes of sexual abuse.

A former fourth-grade teacher at Alexandria’s John Adams Elementary School was sentenced to a maximum of 30 years in prison Friday on charges of producing child pornography. Justin Coleman, 36, of Falls Church, pleaded guilty in August to two counts of producing child pornography, but authorities said those films were just a small part of a vast collection of sexually explicit movies he had created of young girls ... The images and videos of students were part of a larger collection of more than 75,000 child pornography photos and 1,000 child pornography movies, court records showed.

Falls Church Patch (28 Oct 2011): Former Teacher Accused of Producing Child Porn Sentenced to 30-Years in Prison

A forensic analysis of digital evidence in this case revealed that Coleman created at least two videos where two female minors – who were unaware at the time – engaged in sexually explicit conduct with him. Coleman’s collection also included at least 74 videos he recorded in classroom settings that depicted him masturbating behind an unaware student, attempting to obtain erotic videos of female students by filming up their skirts, down their shirts, and on their buttocks.
