Cyber investigators say they have arrested a teacher in Gonzales after finding child pornography on a flash drive in his classroom. According to a press release from Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott's office, the Cyber Crimes Unit was tipped off to John Raymond Williams, 53, after he allegedly uploaded child pornography to a social networking site.​

A Gonzales junior high teacher and church worship leader remains in the Gonzales County Jail, charged with five counts of possession of child pornography and held on $200,000 in bond. John Raymond Williams, a seventh-grade science teacher at Gonzales Junior High and a music and worship leader at Faith Family Church in Gonzales, was arrested Wednesday in a raid by state officials.​

A search warrant was executed at Williams's residence where officers confiscated computers and digital media. Officers also conducted a search of Williams's classroom and school-issued computer. Investigators conducted an initial forensic examination on the flash drive and discovered several images of child pornography. Officers confiscated the school-issued computer and flash drive for further forensic review.​

Before they searched the school classroom, Abbott's people executed a search warrant at the suspect's [John Raymond Williams'] home. They confiscated computers and digital media from his residence. They then conducted a search of the teacher's classroom and school-issued computer. Several images of child pornography were found by investigators on the flash drive.​
