A teacher [Jer Lovaj] at Anne Sullivan Elementary in Green Bay has been arrested on two counts of sexual contact with a child under the age of 13, according to the Green Bay Area Public School District ... A criminal complaint states Green Bay police were contacted in February to investigate the sexual assault of an 8-year-old child that allegedly happened in a classroom at the school. The child told a detective that Lovaj pulled her behind a bookshelf on one occasion and touched her in an inappropriate way and kissed her. The girl also told authorities that Lovaj had touched, kissed, and hugged her on previous occasions.​

Court documents show the girl told two of her teachers at Sullivan Elementary in February about the alleged incidents. She said her English as a Second Language teacher Jer Lovaj “had been kissing her, hugging her, and touched her.” ... The girl says Lovaj touched her two different times. It allegedly happened in his ESL classroom.​

A Green Bay elementary school teacher is facing criminal charges of having sexual contact with an 8-year-old student. Jer Lovaj, 57, an English-language-learner teacher at Anne Sullivan Elementary School on the city’s east side, is accused of kissing, hugging and groping a girl in his classroom on multiple occasions ... The girl told investigators Lovaj would kiss and touch her during and after class, even if students were present in the room, according to the criminal complaint. The girl disclosed an incident that occurred on Feb. 11 to two of her teachers, who reported it to Brown County Child Protective Services.​
