Galveston Daily News said:

A former substitute chemistry teacher was arrested on a felony charge after she was accused of having an improper relationship last fall with a high school senior, authorities said Tuesday. Jade Alexandria Matejka, 24, surrendered to authorities Monday and was released on a $40,000 bond on a charge of improper relationship between an educator and student, authorities said. She worked for the school district for about a year, Hitchcock police Chief Clay Kennelly said. Matejka was accused of having the relationship in November with a Hitchcock High School senior, who was 17 years old or older, Kennelly said.
