On January 25, 2012, Waterloo Regional Police arrested and charged a teacher from Monsignor Doyle Catholic Secondary School in Cambridge for inappropriate sexual contact with a student.​

Jacqueline LAVIGNE, 31 years, of Kitchener, is charged with Sexual Exploitation, for allegedly having inappropriate contact with a male student off school property during October, 2011.​

The accused was held in custody pending a court appearance on January 26, 2012 in the Ontario Court of Justice in Kitchener.​
