    Investigation says Tennessee schools could do more to prevent sexual misconduct

    State legislators recently ordered an investigation of sexual misconduct between teachers and students in public schools and the report, released earlier this week, gave a scathing review. The sweeping review issued last week by the Tennessee comptroller finds that the state could be doing more to prevent teachers convicted of sexual misconduct from returning to the classroom. The Comptroller’s Office of Research and Education Accountability, or OREA, report confirms a concern the State Board of Education said it has shared for some time, the board said in a recent response.
