    A year ago in Georgia, residents had taken to their homes in response to the newly announced Covid-19 pandemic. A few days later, Gov. Brian Kemp issued a shelter-in-place mandate. Many people anticipated a couple of weeks at home catching up on home projects and spending time with family without the stress of commuting to work or school. But weeks of sticking close to home due to the pandemic have turned into months and months into more than a year. The pandemic, its travel and other restrictions, and safety protocols continue.
