    Indicted ex-Madison County SRO caught on fugitive charge in TN

    A former Madison County school resource officer scheduled for trial has been transported to the Madison County Metro Jail. Jerome Heard was taken into custody in Knox County, Tennessee in late November on a felony fugitive from justice charge. Investigators say Heard engaged in sexual contact with a 16-year-old student during the 2012-2013 school year. Heard was a school resource officer at Sparkman High School, Monrovia Middle School and Meridianville Middle School. Heard was processed into the Metro Jail around 3:00p.m. on Tuesday. Investigators say they were tipped off via anonymous tip through Facebook last summer, which prompted the investigation. ...
