    3 County School Employees Involved In $954,000 "Cream Scheme" Loss To The Schools Are Still On The Payroll

    Three Hamilton County Schools employees involved in a "cream scheme" that took the Hamilton County Schools for over $954,000 remain on the payroll. Federal Judge Sandy Mattice this week found five individuals guilty of various charges in the case. They were heavily involved in the scheme in which individuals were recruited to order creams that were billed to insurance at rates up to $15,000 a jar. Sentencing will be June 8 for Wayne Wilkerson, Michael Chatfield, Kasey Nicholson, Billy Hindmon and Jayson Montgomery. School officials initially suspended Keitha Booker, Kim Womble and Katrich Williams. Officials later said the three denied ...
