    Macon-Bibb Commission questions Sheriff about photo of inmates sleeping on floor

    Commissioners questioned Bibb County Sheriff David Davis about a photo of the Bibb County Jail circulating social media. The photo shows inmates sleeping on the floor, seemingly depicting overcrowding in the jail. Sheriff Davis explained to the commission on Tuesday that the image was taken in the COVID-19 isolation block of the jail. Each new inmate must stay 10 days in the block before being released into the general population of the jail.
